Shape Of Trees, Documentary, 24m50s, 2017
In a remote valley, a community of people live, leave, die and revisit the landscape that shelters their favourite places and dreams. Change is like a turn in the brook, and time looks like a growing tree.
Made as part of the Alchemy Film and Moving Image Residency, Scotland (UK) the artist spent a month in the valley where the film is shot. It is structured around the experiences of a small community of people living in the valley and their relationship with the landscape. The point of reflection being the nature of change, and the bond between people and the land they occupy.
